Moraa is an author, Social Protection and Peace & Conflict practitioner. I am an award-winning author who is passionate on issues of social justice, inclusion, equity and human dignity. I highly value social innovation resulting in social change. My writings and treatises focus on the vulnerable and under-served groups in society. Among my awards is the 2014 Burt Award for African Young Adult Literature win with my novella 'The Shark Attack' tackling drug abuse/trafficking among young adults on Kenya's coast and outlining the challenges young people face. I'm a member of PEN International, the world association of writers.
