I've spent most of my life on a field and that still continues today. A field that I grew up on and taught me many more lessons that I probably have learned in school.

Since I was four years old, I've played a sport that some call Fútbol and others call it soccer. Soccer has consumed my life that I never had to work. My job was playing a 90 minute game between four lines in hopes of winning. However one day, soccer turned my life around suddenly and left me numb. I was diagnosed with a disease that could potentially end my career as the player that I worked so hard to be. I was diagnosed with Exertional Compartment Syndrome Disease. One year went by and I finally thought the problem was fixed after a surgery, eleven months of rehab and three of them in a wheelchair. I never let this define who I was and was able to learn yet another lesson from something was.

Nevertheless, when the University of Georgia offered me a full scholarship to do something I always dreamed of doing while still being close to home, I could not let that slip out of my hand. I made the official move, arrived, and passed the beep test on the first day on campus. Now that's what I call a comeback however I have learned the small things do not define you as a person.
