M. Clement
Savannah, Georgia, United States
Morgan “M” Clement is currently a senior studying Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia in January of 1993, and moved to Cleveland, Ohio in July of 1997 when she was four years old. Drawing was always something that interested M. Clement, but it wasn’t until her junior year of high school that a career in the arts was even thought of as a possibility. She would spend hours as a child trying to replicate her favorite cartoon characters, and drew a lot of highly imaginative pieces which expressed emotions that she was feeling. With drawing always being a hobby, M. Clement developed her skill over the years, and even had work put into two separate art shows.
She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in June of 2011, and that fall began attending the Savannah College of Art and Design. Here she further developed the craft of drawing within her foundation studies classes, and by the time she entered into her major curriculum she could fully render portraits of human faces. She learned everything from gestural drawing, still life drawing, figure drawing, to painting all in the aid of becoming a better artist. These skills only helped M. as she moved into 3D Animation and began to use tools such as Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects, among others.
Now M. Clement is in the process of developing concepts for her a senior film. She is steadily trying to combine all of her fine art skills with her experience in Animation to show the world something that it has never seen before. The idea of remaining in the box of traditional Animation is of no interest to her, and thus we can expect to see Animation in an entirely new light as a result.
M. Clement will be graduating from the Savannah College of Art And Design in the spring of 2015, and she will be receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation.
