Morgan Bibby
Student and Party Hostess in Kennesaw, Georgia
Hi, I am Morgan Bibby. I am an 18 year old from Paulding County, Georgia. I have two half sisters and a one-quarter sister. Yes, I know that is not a real thing, but i was around her as much as my half sisters, so she was like a third sibling to me. I have lived in the same house as long as I can remember. Lets just say moving into a dorm was very weird for me. I have always been around a big family because every gathering has between twenty to forty people there. I miss having family at easy access, but I love new experiences and am excited for this one.
I have had a very odd school life. From K-3 through 8th grade I attended a private school called King's Way. There I played sports such as basketball, cheerleading, and soccer. Even though I had grown up there my whole life, it just did not feel like where I needed to be. In 9th grade, I managed to talk my mom into sending me to South Paulding High School. The day I walked in it already felt like home. I made it through the first two years, but something felt like it was missing. My junior year I joined Marching Band. As someone who had not played an instrument since she was seven, this was a blind leap of faith, but i fell in love. This was my home, my family. I finally found where I belonged. I can not say i play... I am a percussionist: I play too many instruments to list. Marimba is my passion though, especially for marching, but during concert season I love a good slapstick part. Even though I am not currently playing at Kennesaw State, I would love to continue playing as a hobby.
Other than band my hobbies are traveling and hiking. This summer I had the chance to go to Ireland and England for two weeks. It was an amazing experience, and I can not wait to travel more. I would love to take advantage of the study abroad program here at KSU. I also love hiking because it is an amazing stress reliever. My friends and I go ever chance we get. We get lost a good bit, but in the end we always find our way and leave happy.
Being here is a huge step for my future. I plan on having a public relations major with a minor is sociology. I am currently taking Dutch online and Portuguese on campus. I aspire to be a flight attendant for delta. To do so I need a good major involving interactions people and foreign languages to help me go international. I am very excited, and can not wait for what the future entails.
