Mine is a truly checkered past that spans three continents. I've been a design and decorative accessories retailer and also opened the first gourmet shop in Memphis, Tenn. In Hong Kong, I was a creative director and director of consumer marketing for the world's two largest PR firms (Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton). Not at the same time, of course. What else? I started a lifestyle newspaper in Connecticut, which ran for 17 years, and now I'm a free-lance writer and photographer with an antiques business on the side.

Personally: I married on the way to work 25 years ago and my son was born in the hospital that was the setting for the movie "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing." This blog is about all the things I love: design, architecture, gardens, travel, furnishings and decorative accessories, entertaining, style and most of all....people. Enjoy!
