Morgan Callahan

Morgan Callahan is an experienced logistics leader and event planner with electoral campaign roots who has dedicated her career to equal rights and public service. Ms. Callahan currently serves as a Program Manager in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office where she manages over $7 million in grant programs statewide in the following areas: health disparities, foreclosure and homelessness prevention, distressed property revitalization and youth wellness. Ms. Callahan also leads several of the office's training and education efforts on a variety of topics such as "Eliminate D.E.B.T.", educating students and those who work with them on Deceptive Education Business Tactics, particularly tactics of for-profit colleges. Of recent, Ms. Callahan helped write the final regulations for the new Earned Sick Time law and is leading the office's efforts to train employees and employers on their rights and obligations under this new law which was enacted July 1, 2015. After graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a B.A. in International Relations, she started her career in Washington D.C. in research at EMILY’s List and the National Committee for an Effective Congress (NCEC). In May of 2006, she stuffed all her belongings into her Toyota Camry to join the wild world of electoral politics. As one of the first staff members on the ground in New Hampshire for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign, she coordinated voter outreach and voter persuasion activities, trained and recruited hundreds of volunteers and led the Rochester regional office. After helping to win New Hampshire, she continued with the Clinton campaign until the very end, helping to lead the grassroots campaign in Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Montana. During the 2008 general election cycle, Morgan served as a research and press assistant for a U.S. Senatorial race in Oklahoma then joined a U.S. Congressional race in California as the Communications Director.Landing back in D.C., she returned to EMILY’s List where she initially started her career. Accepting a position in the Development Department as a Major Gifts Coordinator, then as the Special Projects and Call Time Manager, she worked to get more women elected to Congress and the Senate.After the 2010 election cycle, she moved back to her hometown of Boston, MA where she has worked since.
