A marine biology graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) Morgan Chanel most recently served as a legal assistant at Rowe Law Firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, she managed 80 cases at a time, preparing all legal documents for the supervising attorney prior to court cases. Morgan Chanel also created financial and budget reports to help with forecasting and trending and used analysis tools to help determine funding allotments.

Among her accomplishments at Rowe Law Firm, she saved more than $15,000 by improving supply accountability, in addition to reducing a $2 billion product deficit and developing a surplus over a period of just six months. Further, she saved the US government more than $700,000 by identifying a faulty prototype prior to mass production of the M2A2 tank. In recognition of her work, Morgan Chanel received a letter of appreciation from the vice president of Rolls-Royce Allison.

Morgan Chanel also has a history of volunteering, having participated in mission trips to Peru and the Dominican Republic through the Student Christian Medical Association during her time in college.
