I am a Librarian, Historian, Veteran, Content Creator and graduate student currently living in Grand Junction, CO.

I served six years in the US Air Force as a Tactical Air Control Party operator. Belonging to Air Force Special Warfare, I worked hand in hand with my US Army counterparts to advise on the roles and function of airpower, assist in the planing of close air support in coordination with the ground commander's intent, and performed terminal control of those missions. I'm a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and performed peacekeeping operation in Kosovo.

I have broad and diverse research covering history, library and information science, security studies, and Irregular Warfare. Currently, I'm focusing on narrative impact on American national security from the idolization of Rhodesian SOF, the role of Air Force Special Warfare's role in tactical and strategic reconnaissance, and the history of Airpower since WW2. My past research includes bias in the research process, racism and misogyny in the catalog, early Christian symbols and images, and the evolution of AirPower in the modern period.

I have given information literacy lectures from the high school to university level. Not all library instruction is created equal, so every lecture is tailored to the specific needs of the instructor and students, with a special focus on critical evaluation of sources.

I believe that every person should have the ability to interact with information in a way that allows for the recognition of falsehoods and presents the most factually relevant material possible. The prevalence of disinformation, and yes, fake news is a massive threat to democracy and can be countered by simple methods that, I believe, we all can use.
