Morgan Muchnick

Morgan Muchnick received his B.A. in History magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1996. His academic honors include membership in Phi Alpha Theta (the National History Honor Society), the Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Dean’s List. He then enrolled in the Master’s program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he completed his degree in Public Policy and National Security in 2001. Muchnick’s studies included coursework in comparative domestic intelligence and game theory.

Since completing his education, Morgan Muchnick has worked closely with government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration on projects that include marketing communications, government relations, website development, and organizational design. He has authored documents that outline international affairs, disaster preparedness, and cyber security for the Department of Homeland Security. In his current position as a Homeland Security Analyst at SRA International, Inc., Morgan Muchnick analyzes security-related policy issues, drafts whitepapers, and provides support for biannual meetings with DHS and its partners.

Muchnick has also served as an advocate for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. (AIAA), representing the organization on homeland security and budget issues. In addition to briefing members on security issues, Morgan Muchnick authored an analysis of the NASA budget for the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
