As a whole, I would compare my writing style to a big ball of yarn. It can be messy and complicated to start with, but ultimately it is a line of thought that is able to be followed. When given a writing prompt or assignment, I sometimes find it difficult to be able to find the right place to start, just as it can be difficult to find the start of a piece of yarn. However, once I do find my starting point, my thoughts begin to unravel rather quickly, and sometimes I start to ramble. Often I lose track of what I am trying to say and have to go back and find my point again. Like me, my writing is not flowery or fluffy, and I like to get to the point. I am a ball of yarn that is tough to start unraveling, but once I start (and stop a few times) what's left is a neat, simple line of thought and thread.
