The chief of emergency medicine at NorthShore University Health System in Evanston, Illinois, Dr. Morris Kharasch also serves as the clinical director of the Center for Simulation Technology and Academic Research. Over the course of his career, he has conducted a number of simulation teaching programs, including the Pediatric Mass-Casualty Simulation Course. Dr. Morris Kharasch also served as the primary investigator of the Patient Safety Initiative for National Patient Safety Goals and co-created an Advanced Bioterrorism Triage Course.

Dr. Morris Kharasch formerly taught medical students and residents as an associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University. In recognition of his dedication to teaching and accomplishments, the residency program at the Northwestern University School of Emergency Medicine named its “Teacher of the Year” award after him.

Dr. Kharasch received an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
