Mostafa Fathi

Mostafa Fathi is an award-winning Egyptian journalist who has worked as managing editor for the youth magazine Kelmetna and as editor-in-chief for Egypt's first online radio station, the pro-democracy Horytna.net ("Our freedom"). Fathi earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Zagazig University in 2001, a diploma in journalism from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in Cairo in 2009, and a master's in new media from Cairo University in 2014. He serves as the Managing Editor at Sanadnet.net, documenting violations against journalists. He also works as social-media writer for Al Safir newspaper, writing about the ongoing social changes in Egypt.​
