Motivate(d) Brown

My entire life I have asked myself the same question on a daily basis, “What motivates me to be better?” Well as of recently I have finally come into my own and realized that my motivation is my mistakes and my demons. They stick with me and remind me of where I don’t need my life to be.

My main goal is to openly speak about topics of race and economics, gender and income equality, career choices and life decisions of young people and how parents affect this. I have no limits to what I have an opinion on, so there will be no lips bitten. I encourage people to reach out to me and give me topic suggestions so that I may answer those questions directly and post it for people to chime in on. I want to to start the discussion!

My name is O. Wayne Mabry Jr. and I want to motivate others as much as I motivate myself just by simply doing. Sounds almost too simple, right? You would be surprised how many kids and adolescents alike have very little motivation and support from their peers and family members. How many kids have dreams that get left on the wayside because they had no one to talk to about it? More than we think...I was one of them.

Although it is never too late to start your career and revamp your life, it takes a toll on your psyche to feel as if the people closest to you don’t believe in you. I believe in changing things from the bottom up starting with the young men and women who will be taking over this country when we are long gone. Starting with the adults sad to say ends with more justification and resentment then progress… For progress is success and imagination and belief is a way of life.
