I am a young man from a local township in the south of Johannesburg, where I’ve come to understand that education truly is the key to success. For me, success means having the power of knowledge. As a pre-service teacher, I have learnt that education goes far beyond the classroom. It involves being a support system for learners and walking alongside them on their journey to achieve success. My aim is not just to stand in front of a class and teach, but to provide learners with meaningful knowledge and life experiences that will benefit them in the long run. The greatest pleasure I seek in becoming a teacher is to empower the next generation with the power of knowledge and confidence they need to thrive.
