Kumara Mouktik Chittipeddi
Petroleum engineer in Houston, Texas
I started my career as a Chemical engineering undergraduate student and was really interested in studying the upstream aspect of oil and gas extraction. I got accepted into the graduate petroleum program at University of Southern California but was earnestly emester after which I transferred to University of Houston to further my studies as a graduate student .
I am currently interested to broaden my scope in enhanced oil recovery to improve production in existing reservoir wells, CO2 sequesteration to improve handling and storage of carbon in the atmosphere.
Horizontal drilling excites me and I will be taking a few courses in the future in hydraulic fracturing and shale reserves estimate to keep abreast with the industry trend and work towards becoming a successful petroleum engineer and add value to the company I will be working with.
I am looking forward to participate in internships and other experiences in the industry to get acquainted with the technology that is being used currently in the industry for oil production and recovery.
