Moulann
Moulann
When Moulann writes music, she passionately pursues "balance and flow." Often exploring the nuances of love and life through song, she always tries to seek a fresh perspective. Sometimes confessional and other times commentating, her sharp, lyrical narrative contrasts seamlessly with the sensual expressiveness of her voice. Melodies flow, harmonies shift, hearts connect.
Moulann was born into a musical family and began writing original music at the age of twelve. By the age of fifteen, had collected an impressive collection of awards for classical piano. She has a Master of Arts in music composition and has always allowed a wide range of influences permeate her songs and compositions.
Her first studio album, Introflective, received considerable online attention and quickly sold out of its first two printings with virtually no press or publicity. After a few years of performing heavily and experimenting with various musical genres, a collection of new material emerged. Spirals & Mazes, Moulann's sophomore release, is a collection of twelve sophisticated pop gems elegantly crafted over two years. Lush vocals are framed by her own string arrangements and the sonic wizardry of producers Adam Messinger, Mark Pellizzer and Adam King.
As a highly recognized artist in the Chinese Canadian community, Moulann has taken part in numerous North American and Asian events. She continues to expand her musical horizons - songwriting, performing, composing - always striving to incorporate something new or to personalize the tried and true. Moulann is currently working on new music and will be sharing her new sounds online and on stage.
