MOUSTADRANE OUSSAMA
Economist - Statistician and Financial Analyst
Moustadrane Oussama is a Comorian economist, statistician, and Financial Analyst. He is currently pursuing a dual master’s degree, including a Master’s in Development Economics and Econometrics with a specialization in decision support and public policy evaluation at National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis (ENSAE-Pierre Ndiaye), as well as a Master’s in International Affairs and Development at Paris Dauphine University – PSL. In parallel, he strengthened his expertise in financial management by completing both a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Control, and Audit at CESAG Business School, the training institution of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). He also holds two bachelor’s degrees obtained in the same year: a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from the ISM Group School of Management in Dakar, and a Bachelor’s in Economic Engineering and Management with a specialization in Banking, Insurance, and Finance from Dakar Bourguiba University.
Professionally, he served as Administrative and Financial Assistant within the IFADEM program at the Institute of La Francophonie for Education and Training (IFEF), a subsidiary body of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), based in Dakar. Alongside his academic and professional journey, Moustadrane Oussama has demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to international development. From 2021 to 2023, he was selected as a UNESCO Youth Leader for the promotion of peace and global citizenship education. In 2021, he represented the Comoros at the Pan-African Forum for the Culture of Peace – Luanda Biennale. Earlier, in 2018, he served as a youth parliamentarian at the Indian Ocean Youth Assembly (CJSOI) in Djibouti, contributing to regional discussions on education, sports, and cooperation.
Deeply engaged in climate issues, he represented the Comoros in 2023 at the African Youth Climate Assembly (AYCA23) in Nairobi and later contributed as a trainer in the Our African Climate Story initiative, raising awareness on African climate realities. He also participated in the Africa Climate Summit as a youth delegate and speaker on youth engagement, and in COY18 (Conference of Youth on Climate) in the United Arab Emirates, where he collaborated with global youth leaders. In addition, he holds several international certifications in project monitoring and evaluation (AFD), Sustainable Development Goals (ENAP Québec), climate change and health (UNITAR), and public Management (YALI West Africa). He has also held leadership roles as President and Secretary General of the Association of Mohéli Students and Interns in Senegal.
