Hi there! My name is Kristie and I'm a fourth year student studying IT and Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Business Analytics in the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. I'm passionate about developing and implementing concrete strategies that leverage technology to solve complex business problems. I thrive at delivering high quality results, leading teams in dynamic, fast paced environments, and connecting people to the right resources and opportunities.
As the programming manager for HackCville, I conceptualized and executed a new programming structure that focused on connecting students with experiential learning opportunities and respected alumni in areas such as entrepreneurship, technology, art, design, and social impact. Under my leadership, HackCville hosted 60 events in just four months and developed over forty partnerships to ultimately catalyze and connect our entrepreneurial network of students, alumni, and companies.
As co-chair for a mentoring organization called Peer Advising Family Network (PAFN), I spearheaded the launch of our new website and new changes for accountability and training to improve our advisees’ experience. With these changes, we have been able to expand our program to 80 advisors and over 200 advisees, and increase overall program satisfaction by 50% compared to last year.
Finally, this past summer, I interned with Deloitte where I helped consult a $50billion client on how emerging trends in healthcare and technology would impact the overall enterprise’s risk. This synthesized analysis served as a key step for helping the client strengthen their existing risk management program and developing a more concrete action plan to mitigate future threats.
I'm always looking for opportunities to help others in new ways- so don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to chat.
Cheers,
Kristie
