Moyukh Bary
Teacher, Filmmaker, and Editor in Dhaka, Bangladesh
My Full Name is Katib Ul Bary Moyukh, I'm a Bangladeshi filmmaker and editor with over 14 years in the television and film industry. I've had the privilege of editing and shaping over 500 productions, including TV fictions, short films, TV shows, reality shows, trailers, promotional videos, and documentaries.
My directorial debut came with the telefilm Photoshoot in 2015, which won the Best Editing award at the “Charuneedam Kahinichitra Purushkar 2015.” Since then, I’ve continued to tell impactful stories with works like Ayna Rohoshya (2016) and Uchhotoro Hishabbigyan (2017).
Currently, I am a lecturer at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and an adjunct faculty member at BCTI (Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute). Previously, I worked at Maasranga Television, serving as a video editor from 2012 to 2017 and later as Digital Content Manager from 2017 to 2022.
In 2024, I participated in the 4-month "PostPro Talent Lab" workshop organized by the World Bank, aimed at advancing post-production skills in Bangladesh. Led by mentors Steve M. Choe (Korea), HAN Myung-hwan (Korea), and Chai Yee Wei (Singapore), this program deepened my expertise in film editing, color grading, and sound design.
In 2023, I worked as the film editor for the Chorki Original Film Punormilone, which received critical acclaim and earned me a nomination for Best Editing in the Critics' Choice category at the Chorki Carnival 2023, further fueling my passion for the art of filmmaking.
