Maciej Jerzy Paśnikowski

Madrid, Spain

I am a satellite navigation engineer working in Madrid as Early Stage Researcher in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Initial Training Network MULTI-POS, PhD Student at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

The tasks I am dealing with at my work are connected with enabling and making more predictable the satellite navigation in harsh environments, specifically urban. Existence of many obstacles hinders GNSS signals, thus its analyzing needs different attitude. Moreover, incorporating other techniques - such as inertial navigation - and utilizing newly and about-to-come satellite systems could help us in determining the position in urban environment.

My background is geodesy and cartography with major in satellite geodesy, reference systems, precise GNSS measurements and geodynamics.

In my non-scientific live I am passionate about road cycling, drinking craft beer and specialty coffee. And football, of course.
