Reaching our potential, celebrating our differences

My favourite thing about teaching is helping students on their journey to discover their strengths and interests. Every year it's new students with new strengths and abilities.

My personal interests are travel and being creative. I was a Social Worker for Children's Aid Orlando for 5 years and then I was an EA and then a Secondary Teacher here in Ontario. In the summers I would teach overseas in Italy, Greece, Egypt, Ireland and England. Now I'm an Elementary Supply Teacher, a potter (Patton's Pottery) and a committed mother to a 4 and 6 year old. My own career has been varied and these past experiences help me every day to better understand and accept the unique students that I encounter daily. It is my hope that students say I helped them in their self discovery and development of their unique interests and strengths.
