Michael Paulk

I'm not your typical MBA student.

I'm just as comfortable in front of a crowd as a spreadsheet. I'm equal parts thrill junkie, community servant, and thoughtful husband.

The first: I've surfed 14 foot waves in Hawaii, jumped out of a plane, and skied in my swimsuit down Breckenridge, CO in the dead of winter.

The middle: I spend a good amount of time volunteering in local homeless shelters and soup kitchens, have led projects to feed and clothe the poor, and serve my church as a Campus Ministry Leader at UNC and Duke.

The last: This is a picture of me, on a cold morning in Wilmington, NC, as I was nervously waiting to propose. It was a scary moment for me, and a huge commitment, but I am so grateful for my wife- she truly completes me. She is strikingly compassionate and genuine, and has the heart of a servant. We were married Sept 6, 2014, and each day is better than the prior one.

I'm currently pursuing my MBA at the Fuqua School of Business, with concentrations in Strategy and Decision Sciences. I use my strong quantitative skill set and qualitative experience to drive decision making, and am looking for careers where I can have significant impact.
