Marie Pennington is a competent customer service and business professional who enjoys developing new customer relations and achieving company goals. Most recently, Marie and her husband renovated a small home in Jacksonville, Florida in under 30 days. This complete home renovation was due in part to her husband retiring from the U.S. Navy and Marie wanting to relocate to a place she has great admiration, the city of Jacksonville.
Previously, Marie and her family were stationed in Bremerton, WA where she achieved the status of Vault Teller for MoneyTree. Through this position, she acquired precise cash handling skills and vault accuracy.
Before MoneyTree, Marie was the marketing executive and administrative assistant for Running Race Promotions. Her role included social media marketing, business writing, and market research. She also produced and published several promotional videos for the Patriot Day 5K.
In 2010 after working full time and attending college for five years, she obtained a bachelor's in business management with a focus in accounting through DeVry University. Immediately following her graduation, she entered graduate school at Full Sail University. One year later, she graduated as valedictorian with a master's in business planning and development. Her final business project and thesis, “Tune-a-Gram” was notably recognized by her peers and professors at Full Sail.
In 2012, she authored The Mission to the Moon, a political satire utilizing personification to recreate the space race story of the 1960s.
Other former professional roles include loan procurement, purchasing, customer service, and sales. Marie brings creativity, drive, and moxie to any position undertaken. Professionally, she has been described as reliable and punctual with the ability to perform with quiet and caring dignity.
In her personal time, she enjoys taking care of her cats and dogs, playing the piano, composing music, writing, running, and traveling.
