Mphogo Dorcus Molepo

Student, Teacher, and Artist in South Africa, Johannesburg

My name is Molepo Mphogo Dorcus. I am currently a student teacher at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in mathematics and physical sciences. I am passionate about using technology to make teaching more effective, engaging, and accessible. I believe every learner has the potential to succeed, regardless of their background or available resources. That’s why I aim to integrate technology meaningfully into my teaching, helping learners to thrive and reach their full potential.

My goal is to become a creative and effective educator who inspires learners and supports their academic and personal growth. I am also developing my digital skills by learning to use tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, and About Me to build a strong professional online presence. My interests include blended learning, curriculum development, and inclusive teaching methods.

I’m quite introverted and calm by nature. I love my quiet space, but that doesn’t mean I’m boring. Around my friends, I’m actually the funny one. We laugh a lot, and I enjoy bringing joy through jokes and light moments.

One of my hobbies is sketching. I’m not really into painting, but when it comes to drawing with just a pencil and paper, I’m really good at it. I don’t draw every day, but it’s something I’m naturally gifted at. I also love animals. The zoo is one of my favourite places, and being in nature makes me feel calm and happy. Whether it’s seeing animals, trees, or just fresh air , that’s where I feel peace.

A fun fact about me: I have ADHD. I forget things quickly sometimes, but I’m working on it and learning how to manage it better each day. Overall, I’m someone who finds joy in small things, believes in being kind, and is passionate about teaching and helping others grow ,especially in maths and science.
