Mpindi Abaas is a trained community development worker and Journalist with 5 years full time experience in practical community development work and corporate work.

Mpindi is the brain behind the Inter-institutional Media Challenge, an annual inter-university media challenge to provide journalism students with a platform to show case their skills for possible employment opportunity. This event which brings together university students to compete in news anchoring and reporting, essay writing and photography was started as a response to the skilling Uganda youth and provide them with direct contact with media employers. in 2015,

Mpindi has worked before with Uganda Youth Forum as a Community Outreach Coordinator on the USAID/PEPFAR/CAF/ABY project. The ABY project whose goal is to ‘Preserve the African Family in the face of HIV/AIDS’ is an HIV/AIDS prevention program promoting risk avoidance behaviour of abstinence and behaviour change among the youth.
