Michael Redlich is a Senior Research Technician at ExxonMobil Research & Engineering in Clinton, NJ. Since December 1989, Mike has enjoyed numerous assignments with the Company including the Test Car Lab, the Analytical Sciences Lab (practicing infrared spectroscopy and chemometrics), Computing & Information Systems (developing scientific and web applications), and in his current assignment, the Polymer Science Lab (practicing rheology and polymer physics).
Mike has been a member of the Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey (ACGNJ), a non-profit 501(c)(3) computer education organization based in Scotch Plains, New Jersey where he currently serves as Past President.
He founded and the ACGNJ Java Users Group in 2001 and still co-facilitates the monthly meetings.
Mike is an experienced conference speaker (Oracle Code One, Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise, Trenton Computer Festival), a Java news editor at InfoQ, and has co-author several technical articles.
Mike is a member of Toastmasters International and is currently pursuing his Advanced Communicator Silver certificate.
He is also an avid runner and cyclist having completed numerous marathons and one ultra marathon.
Mike is married to his lovely wife, Rowena, where they spend quality time cycling/running and traveling to New Orleans, Louisiana and Newport, Rhode Island throughout the year.
