Richard Watkins Jr

A former career firefighter with the Baltimore County Fire Dept. Also, a Fire Protection Specialist for 8 years in the Maryland Air National Guard, 135th CEF. I have 18 years of volunteer fire fighting experience having served in the Providence Volunteer Fire Company, Joppa-Magnolia VFC, and Abingdon FC, in Maryland; Cy-Fair FD, in Texas; and, the Chaves County (NM) Fire District #8 as its organizer and 1st Fire Chief. District #8 VFD is located at the Roswell Correctional Center, a State penal facility, south of Roswell, NM. Prior to my involvement with District #8, I was the Chaves County Emergency Services Coordinator / County Loss Prevention and Safety Officer. I have also worked for two Fire Apparatus and Equipment Dealers. Presently, I am working part-time as the registrar doing research, data entry, and conducting guided tours at the Michigan Firehouse Museum in Ypsilanti, MI.
