Back my campaign

Mr. Abubakar Yahya S. Sanusi was born on November 11, 1993, to a Nigerian-German family and raised in the Province of Makkah, Saudi Arabia. From a young age, he nurtured a passion for architectural design and modeling, which eventually led him into the world of technology. He pursued a degree in Computer Science at the College of Computer and Information Systems, Umm Al-Qura University, in Makkah.

On May 17, 2019, Abubakar founded Jopiter Studios—originally known as Spring Sunset—an Instagram-based fashion brand that has since grown into Africa’s first digital and virtual fashion house. Today, Jopiter Studios is the creative arm of Jopiter Incite Limited (Jopiter Inc.), a pioneering African fashion-tech startup dedicated to revolutionizing the industry by bridging traditional fashion with cutting-edge digital technologies.

Jopiter Studios specializes in digital illustration, NFT authentication, blockchain, metaverse integration, and augmented reality, transforming virtual designs into physical fashion. In December 2022, the brand hosted Future Creators, Africa’s first 3D animated fashion runway, marking a significant milestone in digital fashion innovation.

Beyond Jopiter, Abubakar has become a serial creative entrepreneur and an influential figure in Nigeria’s creative economy. He is also a Managing Partner at Fund Fashion VC, Nigeria’s first venture capital firm dedicated exclusively to fashion. His work centers on empowering fashion entrepreneurs, driving social innovation, and building bridges between creativity, culture, and technology.

Proud of his Jewish heritage from his mother’s side—descended from Nigeria’s Jewish minority community once located in Akwa Ibom—Abubakar openly identifies as a Pro-Zionist and strong supporter of Israel. He leverages his creative influence and entrepreneurial ventures not only to transform industries but also to champion causes aligned with peace, prosperity, and cultural recognition.

In his own words:
“You don’t need to have so much money to start a business, especially in this digital era where online businesses thrive through social media. Start small and grow bigger—set your goal, have a plan, and let destiny decide how far you’ll succeed. Life is too short to wait. Chase the future, live in the future, and build with technology.”
