MAPHOLOBA DONALD RAKGAKOLE
Student and Artist in NEWTOWN JOHANNESBURG
Meet Rakgakole Mapholoba Donald here, a 20 year old student at University of Johannesburg, currently living in Newtown Johannesburg. My interests are in science and technology but in my free times, I tend to be singing because it helps me with my mental health. This humble soul believes in creating an inclusive space for people to make them feel comfortable around me. I am very much eager and enthusiastic in exploring more knowledge in science and technology because the wise once told me that it can open doors for you since the country is moving in the 4IR. Rakgakole Mapholoba Donald approaches each endeavour in life with genuine passion and bold spirit. I believe that in order to get something good in life, you must work smart and hard for it because nothing good comes from lazy people.
I am an upcoming teacher of the century, in acquiring the skills in the field of teaching, during my free time I have contributed to various communities in underprivileged schools mostly in my community, by volunteering in tutoring the learners. my aim and mission is to shape the great minds of the learners so that they can be future leaders of the country. throughout the experiences and travels in my volunteering I got to see how diverse leaners are and it made me to always encourage and motivate learners. I always advise my learners that although it seems to be tough right now, one day all of us we will reach the end of the tunnel, if we strive and dedicate ourselves in education and it will look like it was never tough in life.
Most people in South Africa are filled with seriousness. As for myself, I acknowledge and believe in the power of laughter especially when you are around people. it defines your personality around a certain group. It allows people to feel free to open up to. with the power of laughter, i was able to strengthen my communication skills with people/groups.
Looking forward in the future, my mission is to create a positive and a meaningful impact in life throughout my academic journey also in life. I a very much eager in using the skills I have acquired in my academic journey to uplift communities, leaners so that we can become the world with compassion.
