Craig Fraser

The president and chief executive officer of the public biotechnology company Discovery Labs since February of 2016, Craig Fraser has sat on the Discovery Labs board of directors since January of 2016. Discovery Labs is headquartered in Warrington, Pennsylvania. Craig Fraser’s duties at Discovery Labs include overseeing the development of the AEROSURF treatment for respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). This aerosolized KL4 surfactant therapy has the potential to address a significant clinical need in premature infants.

Craig Fraser came to Discovery Labs after serving as the chief operating officer of Aegerion Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Within his first year with Aegerion, he established a global platform that yielded significant international revenue. The next year, he led the company to a growth rate of 220 percent.

Before joining Aegerion Pharmaceuticals in 2011, Mr. Fraser held a series of divisional positions with Janssen Biotech, a biotechnology company formerly conducted business as Centocor Biotech. He entered the healthcare industry in 1990 as a district sales manager, sales trainer, and hospital representative with Boehringer Mannheim Pharmaceuticals.
