Megan Reeves

My name is Megan Reeves. I recently graduated from Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where I earned my Bachelor of Science Health Communication and minored in Advertising and Public Relation. During my time at GVSU, I was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Co Ed Business Fraternity (Psi Xi Chapter). I was also affiliated with Voices of GV, a gospel choir at GVSU and Black Student Union.

I was born and raised in Detroit Michigan, however I do apsire to travel & establish my foundation somewhere different. I have a strong passion for helping people and my ultimate goal is to become a Community Health Educator. Currently I am earning my Masters in Education at Wayne State University. Once I have completed my masters, I plan to put my energy into improving our health system, one patient at a time.

I enjoy reading, cooking, praise dancing, family time and meeting new people. I am adventurous, courageous, adaptable, and a team player. If you were to ask my friends to describe me in one word, they would probably say “southern”. That term is most prevalent due to my slight accent, choice of phrases, and hospitality. I always say, “I love the city, but I’m a country girl at heart”.
