Mario Ricardo was born on December 18, 1985, in Jakarta, Indonesia. He played with pop band "Element" (2005-2008) who tagged him "Kacang" because of his head shape while he was bald. He also performed in the group Biru Langit (which had a 2009 hit "Maaf Ku Tak Bisa" with band member Arya Element), as he was a vocalist for the band. One of his first major credits as a songwriter for outside artists came when he wrote "Terima Kasih Cinta" for Afgan in 2008. He also wrote Afgan's "Cinta 2 Hati", "ILU" and "Hilang Rasa" He wrote Sammy Simorangkir's 1st single "Sedang Apa dan Dimana" on Sammy's debut album. Sammy won the 2012 dahSyat Award for Best male singer. Additionally, Mario has produced, direct and written music for many artists including Dara, Arto, Sierra Soetedjo, Ussy, Gantar, Nia Paramitha, Ronnie Sianturi, Dinda Kirana, Janice, Sammy Simorangkir, Nyar, Yasmine Wildblood, Candy Fiequria, Afgansyah Reza, Mahira Kindaras, Saga, Monalisa Gina, Deyla, Sadie Ladya, Malaysian singer Zaidi Anwari, Esa Sigit, and Mikha Tambayong among others. In 2012, Mario performed 3 Composer with Tengku Shafick & Bemby Noor, and released their 1st single "Salah Benar" and their 2nd single "Pemberi Harapan Palsu" 6 months after their first.
