Matt Martel

My name is Matt Martel and I am currently a junior at UMass Amherst in the Isenberg School of Management, studying hospitality management. I love organizing, promoting, and being involved with events, so why not get paid to do something I love? With the help of my mentor Bob Lowry, I created my own concentration titled Event Management & Entrepreneurship.

While at UMass, I have coordinated countless blood drives while servicing as Vice President of the UMass Red Cross.
I plan theatre performances and workshops as am a member of the Not Ready for Bedtime Players. I am an event promoter for nightclubs in the Amherst and Boston area. I have also coordinated open mic nights on campus.

I am most proud of my work involving the American Red Cross as I have dedicated hundreds of hours since high school to coordinate blood drives, disaster relief projects, and fundraiser to ultimately save lives.

One day I would like to own an event management company, or become the director of events for an organization of which I am passionate about.
