I am lucky enough to teach 7th-12th grade students at Wheaton High School about the skills they will need in their adult lives. My Family & Consumer Science classes include Personal Finance, Nutrition & Wellness, Textiles & Sewing, as well as comprehensive middle and high school courses.

My goal is to fill in the blanks on lessons taught at home - how to manage money, cooking nutritious meals for the family, employment skills, and more. Family & Consumer Sciences can never replace the lessons taught by our families. It simply reinforces the basic skills needed for successful and productive adulthood.
