I'm 37, live & work in the Hudson Valley, and I was born & raised in upstate NY. I have a pretty big family with 2 sets of parents (now 3 with Jason's family!) I have 6 siblings and lots of nieces & nephews. I met my mate (Jason) on Match.com & we've been going strong for 8 years. We got married Nov. 10, 2012! We adopted our dog Milah 4 years ago and we were blessed with the birth of our 1st child, Owen on May 23, 2014. I absolutely love being a mommy!!
I have bounced around Rockland County after graduating college and most recently had been living in Northern Westchester County. 6 years ago, Jason & I moved to Rockland County to begin a new chapter in our lives. Closer to work, easier to save for our future...and much less traffic!! During the school year I am a SpEd teacher at a local middle school and have taught math & science in some capacity for over 12 years. This year I am lucky to have my own lab/classroom and am teaching self-contained 7th & 8th gr. science. I have been granted an iPad for my class and it has been making such a huge impact on my class. I moderate my class website Ackademic.com to focus on ways to reinforce & review our current classroom topics. My previous edu website was The Learning Pad. I became a blogger out of the blue and now maintain my own website geared for my students & their various learning needs which reinforces content/topics in both subject areas. Endless thanks to my #1 Graphic Designer <3. In the summer, I work...no summers off for this girl (thank you student loans lol) I have an awesome position at a wicked cool camp as the nature instructor and in the past I've been their elementary art instructor..Art all day rocks and it is SUCH a nice change from hormonal middle school students =) Other than a teacher, I was a softball player (catcher all my life) & coached a JV team for 2 years. Otherwise, I love all things Google & hope to become a google certified teacher in the future. I truly strive to be the best teacher I can be...all for the benefit of my students.
