I'm an adrenaline junkie. But I get my high from a different kind of sport — reporting breaking news for places like The Toronto Star, Canada's largest daily newspaper.

While I enjoyed skippping lunch and holding my pee in so I wouldn't miss anything passing through the breaking news desk, I decided to take a break to care for my three beautiful children. I even started my own gluten free cafe.

Although the past few years have been a rollercoaster ride filled with family births, deaths, weddings and funerals, I wouldn't change it for the world.
