Jennifer R Wimberly
School Counselor, Student, and Volunteer in Savannah, GA
Hi, I’m Mrs. Jennifer Wimberly, and I’m glad you stopped by my page. I am a middle school counselor at a K–8 School in Savannah, Georgia, where I support students in developing the social and emotional skills they need to succeed academically and beyond.
I am originally from the beautiful state of Arkansas. My husband and I have been together for over 20 years and married for more than 10, and we share our home with three small dogs: Dallas, Romeo, and Zoe.
I completed my Ed.S. in Community Care and Counseling in Fall 2025 and continued into the Ed.D. program at Liberty University, where I am now working toward my dissertation. My bachelor’s degree is in Public Administration with a minor in History, and I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Business from Liberty. In 2021, I earned my M.Ed. in School Counseling (Mental Health concentration) from Liberty University’s School of Behavioral Sciences.
Beyond my work in schools, I have a 5-year personal goal to earn my state licensure as a professional counselor. I am also approaching my 12th year as a member of the local Junior League of Savannah, for which I was recently selected to serve as the 2025–2026 chair for Fit Kids Fest.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, painting furniture, and traveling. My mission as a school counselor is to help each student grow into a well-rounded individual who can use strong social and emotional skills to reach their academic and life goals.
