Ms. Anderson
Ms. Anderson holds a Master of Education in Cross Cultural Teaching and has been an educator for ten years. Her passion is elementary education where she has taught first through fourth grades. At Innovation Center Encinitas, she feels that she has found her way home – to a personalized, student-centered, truly differentiated program for teaching that encourages educators to be creative, collaborate and innovative. A student of yoga herself, she integrates mindfulness language and practices into her teaching routine. Nurturing students in their social, academic and personal journeys is important to Ms. Anderson and she looks forward to each and every day at Innovation Center Encinitas.
This year she will be mentoring K-6 teachers in the Lucy Calkins Writing Program and the second grade classroom will be transformed into a writing lab for teachers to visit and observe writing lessons and student conferences. Collaborating with colleagues, facilitating professional development workshops and delving into the education networks found on social media are areas in which Ms. Anderson is developing professionally.
