Miranda Pearson-Garcia

Miranda Pearson-Garcia, 32, former newspaper journalist and photographer, currently spends most of her days at her home in small-time Iowa. She keeps herself busy writing, researching for friends, and mothering her 2 children, Ethan, 12 and Brianna, 10. She also enjoys playing video games on her PC and reading.

Miranda is considered by herself, her children, and those who know her as being a "Lupus Warrior." Diagnosed 12 years, she works hard to bring an understanding and awareness of SLE to the frontlines of society in any ways she can.

Miranda lives by a few simple mottos: "Overall happiness is a choice; Choose it." and "Don't ever forget that you're a citizen of this world, and there are things you can do to lift the human spirit, things that are easy, things that are free, things that you can do every day.
