Matt’s vision is to see people discover their best selves and see them equipped to make the changes in their lives that will bring freedom, purpose, clarity of mind and heart, and emotionally healthy relationships. He believes that we were designed to be overcomers, but we are relational beings who become free and healthy through safe relationships. Counseling provides that safe relationship, while equipping folks to develop healthy relationships more fully in their lives. Through active listening, empathy, insight and connectedness Matt walks with people in their pain and gently leans into people’s lives in order to help.
I have four categories of specialty:
Emotional Management - such as anxiety/stress, self esteeem, anger, grief, depression
Couples/Relationships/Family - dealing with communiction, resentments, unhealthy patterns, abusiveness
Parenting/Adolescents - parenting frustration, parenting methods, parent-child communication, Teen issues
Faith/Spiritual Challenges - faith struggles, life purpose and direction, spiritual abuse
Matt has invested the past 20 years in ministering to people.
Matt is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and has been in counseling for six years. He was in ministry with Campus Crusade For Christ (Cru) for 14 years. During that time Matt worked in a number of positions and fields through his days in ministry with Campus Crusade (Cru). He worked in technology, in training and development, and on the field both in the U.S. campus ministry and overseas. Matt has experience in mentoring, leading groups, teaching, event planning, and public speaking. He brings with him a variety of work, ministry, church and cultural experience into the counseling room.
Matt has been married for 19 years and he and his wife have two twin children. They are long-time residents of Florida.
