Life gives us lemons, and as artists we make grape juice happen. Sounds a little weird right? Well allow me to explain myself here.

Artist: Ever wonder about that title? Artist, what does it really mean? Originally it meant painters and drawers. Now it encompasses many other types of people. So why would I want to be lumped with "every other artist out there"? Well a part of me follows the traditional side and it plays with the idea of being a "master artist" but knowing that I'll always be a learner that will never happen right? So how bout we cross that word out, and write what my real title is?
Artist:Crafting, Building, Making, Often Crazy Person That Sees the World Beyond:Artist is starting to sound easier, but really I want to be known for what I do, not some lump title that was "bestowed" upon myself. So really what do I do as this person you ask? Well like those before me, and those after me, I am trying to change the way people view the arts. My work brings in a little bits and pieces of everything, including the kitchen sink! I am a Multimedium Craftsman, if you really need some title for it. I work with what every I can get my hands on, scrounge and get donated to me. Often times this leads me down childish like ways, that a lot of controlled artists don't want to follow. Some people have gone so far to say, "You are in a world all of your own". And personally between you and I, the imaginary worlds are more fun sometimes.

Learner: I had a conversation with some of the elementary school students, and we talked about learning, and teaching. I know getting advice from a third grader to some might be crazy. I'd say about 95% of that conversation that day opened my eyes to what they really saw me as. A teacher, a know it all, and they couldn't understand why I wasn't calling myself that. I often find myself buried in books, magazines, online articles, in old dusty corners of HPBooks looking for the thing that will teach me the secrets of the world. Yet, as a human I've come to the realization that I am always going to be inquisitive for more. Curiosity did kill the cat you know, but think of the things he/she saw before that end? So I stood my ground, stating to their bright faces, "I am a learner, and a teacher, I am both, and you are both. We both learn from one another, and we both teach one another. Without you. . .I wouldn't learn as quickly. With you, even if you don't see it yet, we cross valleys, climb mountains
