Lieutenant General (Ret.) Mark Schwartz served over 33 years in the U.S. Army, culminating as the United States Security Coordinator for Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Commanding General of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and held key leadership roles, including Commander, Special Operations Command Europe and Deputy Commanding General, 1st Cavalry Division.
A career Special Forces Officer, LTG Schwartz commanded the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and multiple special operations units in Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond. He participated in the initial combat invasions of Afghanistan (2001) and Iraq (2003) and completed four additional combat deployments. His leadership extended to high-level briefings before Congress, ambassadors, and foreign dignitaries.
A Colorado native, he holds a BBA in Finance from Idaho State University and an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He also completed Senior Executive Programs at Wharton and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
