Scott Cooper

Scott Cooper joined investment banking and brokerage firm Scott & Stringfellow, LLC, in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a Financial Advisor in 2005. Mr. Cooper accepted a promotion to Senior Managing Director in April 2011 and continues to hold this position today. A member of the New York Stock Exchange, Scott & Stringfellow is an affiliate of Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T; Corporation). Together with its parent company, the firm operates more than 60 offices nationwide. As Senior Managing Director of the Raleigh branch, Scott Cooper contributes to the general operations of Scott & Stringfellow by striving to ensure that its plans are being executed properly and that its objectives are being accomplished. In this role, Mr. Cooper utilizes the knowledge he gained over the course of nearly 20 years in the financial services industry. During his tenure at Scott & Stringfellow, Scott Cooper has earned recognition as a Sterling Performer five times. BB&T; Corporation presents this title to its top-performing employees to honor their achievements. Presently living in Hillsborough, North Carolina, Scott Cooper studied at Appalachian State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 1993. He holds membership in Chapel Hill Tennis Club in Carrboro and enjoys playing the game when not working at Scott & Stringfellow.
