My name is Martha Sesinyi. I am 23 years of age, a 3rd year BEd student at the University of Johannesburg majoring in Mathematics and Life Sciences. I am also a life sciences and Mathematics tutor in my institution. As a teacher in training, I strongly believe in an inclusive and learner-centred learning and teaching space, where learners are not just receivers of information but are actively engaged and participating in their learning. I advocate for the 21st century skills which are collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and communication. I love reading to broaden my knowledge about what's happening around me and about my field of study. I am a passionate and ambitious individual who believes in the power of education.
