Born in Ahmednagar Camp, Maharashtra on 7 June, 1954. Completed graduation and post graduation from Pune University. Obtained M.Phil English from Amravati University on War Poetry. Was awarded fellowship of the University Grants Commission and earned Ph.D. English in Anglo-Indian Fiction from the University of Pune.
For two decades taught English at the degree as well as Post Graduate level in Poona College of Arts Science and Commerce, Camp Pune. Worked as the Vice-Principal of the Arts Faculty of Poona College. Founder and Coordinator of Creative Writers' Forum Poona College, Camp Pune.
Currently teaching English at Community College King Saud University , Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Keen interest in translation of literary works and religious texts from Urdu into English vice versa and from Marathi into English and vice versa. Writes poetry and fiction in English. One collection of English short stories 'Feather is Thine but Thou art Mine" published in 2008 by Asha Media and Creation, Pune. A collection of English poems "Heerkani and Other Poems" published in 2009 by Designer Enterprizes Pune.

The Tale of a Teacher" published in April 2015. The second collection of short stories "Nuru Chicha and Other Stories " is coming soon. Presently writing a novel "Seeta in Saudi".
