Sphiwe Mshayisa
Student in Johannesburg, Auckland park
Hello, I’m Sphiwe — a Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg, currently based in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. I am deeply passionate about teaching, technology, and innovation, and I believe that education is one of the most powerful tools to transform society.
As a Pre-service teacher, I actively integrate modern teaching strategies such as gamification, concept mapping, inquiry-based learning, and digital tools like Kahoot and AI-assisted learning to make lessons more engaging and inclusive. My experience during Work Integrated Learning has strengthened my dedication to learner-centered education, ethical use of technology in classrooms, and promoting curiosity in learners through STEM-based approaches.
In today’s fast-changing world, the rise of Artificial Intelligence has inspired me to explore its role in education—especially how AI can be ethically used to enhance learner engagement, protect privacy, and support critical thinking. I see myself as part of a new generation of educators who embrace innovative methods while staying grounded in compassion and social responsibility.
I believe in education that is transformative, inclusive, and rooted in real-world relevance—so that every learner can thrive in a peaceful, progressive world.
