Currently, I am a Cross-Platform Associate Producer at CNN, a songwriter/publisher at SESAC, and an instructor at Kennesaw State University. You can also find my work on mixologi.com. As a multimedia journalist and scholar, my research interests in mobile journalism and experience in the field fuels me to find the best way to tell great stories using technology.

As I journalist, I have covered many local and national stories for television and print news. My stories include Oklahoma’s 2010 congressional election, 2010 U.S. Sitting Worlds volleyball team at the University of Central Oklahoma, 2011 Joplin tornadoes, Oklahoma City Thunder Basketball, and the 2013 Moore tornadoes. I create news packages, edit video, and write stories that are unique and push the envelope for new ways to cover stories that attract and engage audiences. As a scholar, I currently research mobile or "smartphone" journalism and how newsrooms can implement successful storytelling strategies for their mobile products (tablet, smartphone, etc. as well as how to best use smartphones in the news gathering process.

I hold memberships in the National Association of Black Journalists, Online News Association, Society of Professional Journalists, Public Relations Society of America, and Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
