Ms. Kyra

Inspired by color, detail, and fabric - Kyra learned to sew at eight years old on her mother’s antique treadle sewing machine, and worked professionally in theatrical costume design, patterning, and construction for over five years.

Working with theater costumes Kyra learned to make clothes with a future life in mind, with tricks like extra seam allowance built in, which can last the test of time. Frustrated by the low quality of much of the women’s wear available today, she vowed to bring back styles and craftsmanship found in vintage clothing: flattering the female body with durable items that will be treasured favorites for many years and fit with a lifestyle of slow fashion.

Currently working in the niche of accounting consulting for fashion companies, Kyra is fascinated by the intersection of the arts and business, and is passionate about sustainable fashion and empowering women in business.

In her spare time she likes to dance Argentine Tango, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, and Blues.
