Building on her multicultural and multidisciplinary background, Mia is skilled in event & production management, scriptwriting, acting, voice & speech, and music business essentials (including stage management, marketing, production, songwriting, and performance). She has trained at the University of California, Berkeley - Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, New York University Tisch School of the Arts, the Juilliard School Extension, the Stella Adler Conservatory, the Interlochen School of the Arts, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. A keen writer for stage & screen, she has achieved an Advanced/Mastery (C2) Level in English in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Mia was also granted membership to the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) for the pop, jazz, and musical theater genres. Having grown up with a love for choirs and their ability to bring people together, Mia was a recipient of the Choral Director's Award and a former Vocal Ensemble President of her Los Angeles performing arts magnet school, where she specialized in both theater and voice and graduated with highest honors. Musical community groups Mia has since performed with include the Carnegie Hall Masterworks Chorus, the New York University Choral Arts Society, the Disneyland-partnered Anaheim Heritage Festival Ensembles, the 92Y School of Music Broadway Chorus, and the West End Musical Choir. She can sing in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Filipino, Chinese, and Latin.
In support of the arts and its role in community & civic engagement, Mia has been a Young Partner for the Pulitzer & Tony award-winning The Public Theater, a Friend of the renowned New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and a Donor of the United Kingdom's largest arts centre The Southbank Centre.
