Mark K Smith

Deep experience in advising leaders with business planning, organization and talent, technology initiatives and growth and sustainability strategies. Mark has served since 2004 as a Venture Partner for JumpStart, Inc., a venture development organization whose mission is to accelerate the growth of businesses in Northeast Ohio. He served on the start-up executive management team for DriveLogic in Chicago, which provided SaaS based supply chain management solutions for auto insurance claims; and for SaaS provider ClaimIQ in San Francisco, which provided bodily injury valuation, fraud detection and liability assessment tools to insurance carriers. During the 1990’s Mark was a senior executive at Progressive, where he served on the corporate claims management team and provided leadership for the transformation of claims management through deployment of mobile and wireless technologies, while supporting 23% annual business growth. Mark also served as Chief Information Officer at Invacare Corporation, a high growth leader in medical products during the 1980's. He currently serves as Board President for the Cleveland International Film Festival, is co-founder of start-up Capacity Holdings LLC, and has a private management consulting practice.
